The lastest from Stonehenge’s range is the new Kraft paper, which will be arriving in Australian stores soon.

A traditional fine art and drawing paper with a flawless vellum surface. Originally created for printmaking Stonehenge paper has become known as one of the finest papers available for pencil, watercolour, gouache, acrylic, pastel and charcoal work.  This paper is made from 100% cotton and is acid-free and is buffered with calcium carbonate to help protect artwork from contaminated environments.

Branded the “paper of choice” by the Colored Pencil Society of America, Stonehenge has the ability to take multiple layers of wax-based and oil-based colored pencil without any buildup, allowing colors to penetrate and absorb into the surface of the sheet.

Personally being a bit of a Stonehenge fan, and having seen this paper in the flesh this is a really exciting edition to the Stonehenge range and one I am sure many coloured pencil artists will be taking up, particularly those who like to mix their artwork up at bit and try out different surfaces.

Keep an eye out for it in your local and online stores.
