ACPN Online Exhibition Conditions of Entry

By entering the Australian Coloured Pencils Network online exhibition you must agree to the following conditions.
  •  Artwork is an original artwork and is free from any other individual’s copyright which includes the use of photographs in the reference materials in creating the artwork. You must have permission to use any reference photos in your artwork if you do not take your own photos.
  • The artwork has not been created under the direct instruction of another individual or created in a workshop environment.
  • You give permission for the Australian Coloured Pencils Network to publish the artwork on it’s website, newsletter  and in it’s marketing and publicity channels (including social media platforms) promoting the exhibition and the Australian Coloured Pencils Network. The copyright of the artwork still remains the property of the artist and will not be reproduced without written permission outside the above parameters.
  • You must be an Australian Resident to enter the online exhibition
  • Entries close Sunday 19th October, 12pm 2014
  • You must have paid the entry fee/s for the categories you are entering in order to be eligible.
  • You may only have 1 entry per category.
  • You maynot enter the same artwork for both categories
  • All artworks will automatically be entered in the Peoples Choice.

Conditions to be eligible for the Just Pencils Category

To be eligible to enter in the Just Pencils category your artwork must be solely created used “dry” either wax or oil based coloured pencils (you may use graphite in your initial drawings, NB.watercolour pencils or ink pencils are not included in this category). Solvents are considered eligible.

Conditions to be eligible for the Mixed Media Category

To be eligible to enter in the Mixed Media category your artwork must include primarily a pencil based medium (80%), this includes watercolour pencils, pastel pencils, ink based pencils . You may also use a limited amount of watercolour or pastels in the backgrounds etc. Solvents or water used to dissolve the pencil is considered eligible.

Should this eligibility be questioned maybe asked to supply documentation of your artwork progress.

Judging

Karen HullJudging for the 2014 exhibition will be done by Australian Artist – Karen Hull.

Karen Hull is a fulltime artist / illustrator, who specialises in photorealistic work in a range of subjects and mediums, but particularly using Coloured pencils and mixed media. She is an exhibiting member of the Australian Society of Miniature Art (NSW), the International Society of Scratchboard Artists,  a member of the Australian Guild Realist Artists, the Coloured Pencil Society of America and numerous other organisations and societies.
The judging will be done via nameless entries.

People Choice

The peoples choice award will be given to the artwork that has the highest number of votes. Voting will be done via online voting.
