Artist Statement:

“This drawing is of my beautiful Mum who we lost in 1985. The Prismacolor pencils on Stonehedge paper captured just what I was after.
Drawing completed 12th October 2010.
Finished Size 25cm X 32cm.”

Congratulations to Joan Everingham for her heartfelt artwork which won an outstanding number of votes in our people’s choice award. 187 votes!

Next off was Mike Ryan work and Julie Podstolski and Karen Hull both had the same number of votes. Thereafter it was pretty close on the voting stakes with the difference in most votes only being by a couple of numbers.

Thankyou so much to everyone who entered. All of the comments from various visitors to our exhibition were that everyone was impressed by the caliber and the range of styles of all artists.

It’s fabulous to see that the range of styles can be so broad it just goes to show how versatile coloured pencils medium truly is.

Joan has won a certificate and bragging rights to have won the People’s Choice award in the 2010 Australian Online Coloured Pencils Exhibition and a year’s membership to the site. Congratulations again Joan.
